ART AT DHCC
with curator Patricia Lockwood and artist Berndt Heidemann
This diverse curated collection of custom commissioned, original artwork and paintings, coupled with local photography and digital artwork compliments the recent renovation of the Desert Horizons Country Club by MDR Architects, Inc. with lead architect Mark Melzer and senior interior designer Amisha Trivedi.
Patricia Lockwood is a member of DHCC and served on the Renewal committee for the design of DHCC. Patricia is an award-winning interior designer who is also certified in Design Psychology. When the first proposed art pieces for the clubhouse by an out-of-state art consulting firm were presented, it became clear this firm was not a “good fit” by the committee.
Patricia brought in local artist, Berndt Heidemann of BH Artwork, with whom she has a decade-long relationship of collaborating on her design projects, to provide a more suited collection for consideration.
Patricia and Berndt worked as a team to curate a diverse art collection to elevate the newly designed DHCC Clubhouse in numerous styles, mediums, sizes, all with the intention create an authentic connection to the Desert Modern aesthetic.
