The Designer of the Year (DOTY) Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in residential interior design. There were 24 different categories under such classifications as: Kitchens, Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Living Spaces, Singular Areas, Window Treatments and Specialty Awards, to name a few.
The competition was fierce again this year and we are thrilled to be recognized amongst this amazing group of talented designers. And a special thank you goes to Jenny Cano, the Executive Director of IDS for a truly inspiring and wonderful conference this year.
ANOTHER REASON WE ARE PROUD MEMBERS OF IDS
This year marks the second combined National conference of ART + IDS. This event brought together hundreds of home décor professionals, including manufacturers, importers, retailers, sales reps, product designers and interior designers. The conference provided unique networking opportunities where we are able to connect and collaborate while expanding our knowledge, learning the latest advances and best practices in our industry.
The highlight of our experience during this design conference was participation in a Community Service Project. This year our project benefited the Chatham Savannah Homeless Authority/Tiny House Project at the Savannah Baptist Center, Tom Austin House, and the Union Mission/Grace House. We worked in several locations doing multi-discipline projects that serve veterans, homeless, and low-income families.
Our team worked at the Mission/Grace house to help assemble 16 bunk beds for emergency housing. Tons of amazing teamwork, sweat and smiles went into building the bunks. So much love and appreciation for this opportunity to part of an organization that puts the community first!
